About Algeria
Algeria is the second largest country in Africa with more than four-fifths of Algeria's territory covered by the Sahara desert. The character of the Algerian coast is severe and inhospitable. The western half is bordered by a hilly rampart, broken only here and there, in the bays where the larger streams find their outlet, by flat and sandy plains.
