About Algiers
Algiers is the capital and the largest city of the Algeria. It is located on a bay of the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the Sahel hills on the other side. The old part of town with some real slums is built against the steep hills, while the modern part is built by the seashore. The French heritage is very noticeable here more than in any other North African city.
