About Botswana
Botswana is predominantly a flat and very dry tableland that protects some of Africa's largest areas of wilderness. It is known for its national parks and Safari-based tourism that is tightly-controlled. The Kalahari desert covers up to 70% of the territory and is home to 17 national parks. In March and April the Kalahari blossoms with life and huge migrating herds. The Okavango Delta in contrast is a wetland north of the Kalahari Desert that is very beautiful with vast grass lands, lagoons and the spectacular Moremi Wildlife Reserve with unmatched scenic beauty.
