About Cape Verde Islands
Cape Verde is an archipelago off the coast of Africa with 10 steep, rugged, rocky, volcanic islands and about 8 islets. The northern island group or Barlaventos consists of Santo Antão, São Vicente, Santa Luzia which is uninhabited, São Nicolau, Sal and Boa Vista. The southern island group or Sotaventos consists of Maio, Santiago, Fogo and Brava. The inter-island ferries lets you explore more islands while visting Cape Verde.
Cape Verde is an excellent destination for hiking thanks to the impressive mountains and volcanoes. The long white sandy beaches are ideal for windsurfers and kite surfers and especially the island of Sal is a popular destination.
