About Asmara
Asmara is the capital of Eritrea and the see of the archbishop of the Eritrean Orthodox Church. The city located at an altitude of 2432 m, is sometimes called "New Rome" due to its distinct Italian architecture and pizza and cappucino bars. The city is one of the safest capitals in Africa with beautiful streets surrounded by palms and colorful trees.
