About Guinea
Guinea consists of four different regions: a narrow coastal belt also known as Lower Guinea; highlands in Middle Guinea; savanna in northern Upper Guinea and rain-forests in southeastern Forest Guinea. The Niger, Gambia, and Senegal Rivers are among the 22 West African rivers that have their origins in Guinea. Most scenic are the mountains with their great beauty. Guinea is one of the wettest countries in West Africa.
