About Lesotho
Lesotho is an enclave-nation, entirely surrounded by the Republic of South Africa, made up mostly of highlands entirely above 1,000 m, where many of the villages can be reached only on horseback, by foot or light plane. The mountain range forming most of its border is part of the Drakensberg Mountains which is on the World Heritage list. It is a spectacular destination with its many valleys and scenic canyons.
Maseru is the capital of Lesotho, located on the Caledon River, bordering South Africa. Travellers can start hiking trips from here into Sehlabathebe national park.
