About Mayotte
Mayotte consists of 2 main islands and is part of Comoro Archipelago. The main island, Mahoré is geologically the oldest of the Comoros and has deep ravines and ancient volcanic peaks at 500 and 600 meters above sea level. A coral reef encircles much of the island, forming a spectacular lagoon with a rich habitat for fish.
