About Sao Tome and Principe
Sao Tome & Principe is the smallest country in Africa, just north of the equator. The islands of Sao Tome and Principe are fairly mountainous with peaks reaching 2000m, and beautifull palm fringed beaches. They are a part of a chain of an extinct volcanoe range and many streams are radiating down the mountains through lush forest to the sea.
The capital, also named Sao Tome, is a picturesque town with a colonial Portuguese architecture. The town is also an important port on Ana Chaves Bay.
