About Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua & Barbuda consists of a number of islands, of which Antigua is the largest one, and the most populated. The other main island Barbuda, lies just north of Antigua. Antigua & Barbuda are one of the most prosporous nations in the Caribbean, because of its tourism industry and offshore financial services. The islands are particularly known as a popular stop point for US cruise ships, and are famous for its sandy beaches, diving and cricket. Its coral reefs attract snorkellers and scuba divers from all over the world.
Barbuda is kown for its unspoiled wildlife and exotic birds.

Good to know
Most of the population are descendants of slaves, and today some of this background still echos in sounds of the steel bands, combos and limbo dancers that dominate the picture in its many beach hotels, restaurants and bars.
