About Guadeloupe
Guadeloupe consists of the five islands Basse-Terre, Grande-Terre, La Desirade, Les Saintes and Marie-Galante. Most tourists are from France and the United States, drawn to its resorts, beaches, waterfalls and rain-forests. An increasingly large number of cruise ships visit the islands every year. Excellent underwater diving opportunities are available in places like Plage Malendure that extend to protected underwater sites with an abunded marine life.
