Guatemala City is the capital and largest city of Guatamala and a good starting point for visits to the rest of the country. It is home to one-fourth of the country's entire population and features many restaurants, hotels, and shopping facilities. The city is clean and modern, with wide paved streets radiating from Central Park, but in itself not a major tourist destination.
