About Kingston
Kingston is the capital of Jamaica, the land of sunny beaches, open ocean and reggae. The city is actually often called Greater Kingston or the “Corporate Area”, and despite the appearance it is actually very multi-racial. While most of the country seems very laid-back, Kingston is very up to speed in culture, politics and commerce (Kingston is one of the leading ports of the West Indies). Kingston might not be very appropriate for beach vacations, but it has some interesting cultural and historical attractions, and an energetic nightlife.
