About Fort-De-France

Fort de France is capital of Martinique, which is an overseas department of France, sometimes also referred to as the French Antilles. It is the former home of Napoleon’s Empress Josephine and the city has many attractions in her name. Fort de France also has a pretty natural harbor defended by Forts Desaix, Tartenson and Gerbault. These make nice sights and are worth your visit.
