About Albania
Albania is mainly hilly and mountainous with some rough scenery. Korab is the highest mountain at 2,753 m. Albania also has a beautifull coastline on the Ionian Sea that is becoming increasingly popular with foreign visitors due to its relatively unspoilt nature and good beaches. Albania is Europe's poorest country with a tourist industry that is still in its infancy.

The country has long been isloated under it former communist dictatorship, and is slowly moving towards a western oriented society. Despite the poverty of the Albanians, they are very friendly and wellcoming.
