About Belgium

Belgium is a small country with two visually very different regions. The northern Flamish region is mainly flat, while by contrast the Ardennes, Belgium's most scenic region, offers high elevations, dark caverns and fast flowing rivers.

Antwerp is one of the largest sea ports in Europe and home of some of the most beautifull sixteenth-century art. Close by lies the magnificent historic city of Bruges, also known as Venice of the North, with stunning Flemish art and architecture. Brussels as the headquarters of both the European Union and NATO, has developed into a lively city of diplomats, but also shows some of its well preserved Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, and Art Nouveau treasures and ancient châteaux.
