About Bulgaria
Bulgaria is a Balkan country home to some of the world's most spectacular mountains with Peak Musala in the southwest of the country as the highest mountain of the Balkan Peninsula at 2,925 m. With its snow capped mountains, ski resorts, thermal springs and mineral spas, as well as its majestic landscapes, Bulgaria offers some of the best hiking opportunities in Europe. Some of the must see destinations in Bulgaria are the Black Sea with its tourist resorts, the Danube river and the Pirin National Park which is on a World Cultural and National Heritage site.
The capital of Bulgaria is Sofia, a laid city with a great number of architectural monuments and museums.
