About Tallinn

Tallinn is the capital of Estonia and one of the best retained medieval European towns. The winding cobblestone streets, dating back to the 11th to 15th century, and the Old Town will take you back in time to the days of  the golden era of the early 15th and mid 16th centuries when Tallinn had a central position through the Hanseatic League in the Baltic Sea.

    • Rostock (high season only, travel time 21 hours)
    • Kapellskär, near Stockholm, to Paldiski, near Tallinn (travel time 11 hours)
  • Express catamarans and hydrofoils between Helsinki and Tallinn (travel time 1 hour 30 minutes, high season only)
  • Car: direct routes along the Baltic coast into Latvia, Lithuania and Kaliningrad, and also east into the Russia.
  • Buses: long distance services to Riga, Vilnius, Kaliningrad and St Petersburg
