About Faroe Islands
The Faroe Islands are an archipelago of 18 islands in the North Atlantic, of which 17 are inhabited. The only island that is uninhabited is Litla Dimun. The islands have a rugged coastline with some rocky peaks and cliffs along green fjords, with an extensive bird population. The highest point is Slaettaratindur at 882 m. The Faroe Islands are an interesting destination for traveller looking to spent an quiet, non touristy, outdoors holiday.
