About Ajaccio
Ajaccio is the capital of Corsica and located on its west coast approximately 390 km from Marseille. The historic city is famed as the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte and the house in which he was born is still preserved. Ajaccio is surrounded by mountains and has a harbour on the Gulf of Ajaccio that is protected by a peninsula with its famous Citadel.
