About Guernsey
The island of Guernsey represent the last remnants of the medieval dukedom of Normandy, which held sway in both France and England.The group of islands comprise next to Guernsey, the islands of Alderney, Herm, Sark, and some other smaller islands, that have a total area of 78 sq km and a coastline of about 50 km. Lihou is a tidal island that is attached to Guernsey by a causeway at low tide.
The national animals of the island of Guernsey are the donkey and the Guernsey cow.
The islands are an ideal escape for tourists seeking a relaxing holiday with sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs.
