About Iceland

Iceland is located just south of the Artic Circle, on a geological hot spot and the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and is the most sparsely populated country in Europe. It is famous for its numerous volcanoes like the Hekla, hot springs and geysers and majestic glaciers. With its many fjords, a cold and uninhabitable interior, Iceland has much to offer to eco-tourists, nature watchers for instance whale watchers and hikers that love a rugged volcanic terrain virtually without any trees.
