About Italy

Italy has everything from mediterranian beaches on the Adriatic and Mediterranian sea, to luxury mountain ski resorts in the Alps, Dolomites and Apennines mountains, and  still active volcanoes like Stromboli or the Etna in the south.

Italy’s cities are literary littered with treasures of its magnificent past with its legacy of da Vinci, Michelangelo, Carvaggio and Botticelli:  the curved arches of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, the canals in Venice, Napels ''to see and then die'', Pisa, Rome the Eternal City, with its monumental palaces, churches, squares, fountains and its famous Colisseum.

Nestled in Rome is the independent Vatican City, the seat of the Pope and home to the famous St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel.
