About Malta

Malta comprises an archipelago with the three largest islands Malta, Gozo and Comino being inhabited. With numerous bays Malta has many good harbors and excellent beaches. Located between Europe and North Africa, it has been occupied by Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and latterly France and Britain. Consequently the islands have many ruins, and relics dating back to these different periods like for instance to the middle ages when the order of the Knights of St John used the island to defend Christendom.

Malta has many museums, shops, and leisure activities and it has become a well-known and popular vacation destination among Europeans.
