About Chisinau
Chişinău is the capital of Moldova and its industrial and commercial centre. It lies in the middle of the country, on the river Bîc, only 160 kms from the Black See. It has had a turbulent history since its foundation in the 15th century. In 1944 the town was totally destroyed but is meanwhile fully rebuilt.
