About Norway
‘The Land of the Midnight Sun’ is a beautiful fjordland country with 22,000 kilometers of dramatic coastline and lots of remote wildernesses with several glaciers, most famous of which are Jostedalsbreen and Svartisenand meandering rivers. The Arctic Circle with the northern tip of Europe - Nordkapp , is famous for its Midnight Sun and surreal Northern Lights. It makes Norway an ideal country for some of the most scenic trips, boat cruises and train rides one can imagine.
Norway's principal cities like its capital Oslo, the historic port city of Bergen and Trondheim, remind us of the glorious Viking age from the 8th-11th century, when the Norwegians colonized Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and parts of the British Islands, founded cities like Yorkand Dublin and attempted to settle in Newfoundland and Canada.
