About Warsaw
Warsaw is the capital of the Poland and located on the river Vistula, roughly 350 km from both the Baltic Sea coast and the Carpathian Mountains. Many of the historic streets, buildings, and churches were restored to their original form after 85% of the city was destroyed in Worldwar-II and today the historic centre of Warsaw is a World Heritage site. The city has undergone a huge transformation process after the fall of the Soviet Union and the entry of Poland to the European Union; it is rapidly developing into a modern city and has again become one of the interesting cities in Europe.
