Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, located in the Balkan Peninsula, at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe with the most interesting sites enclosed between the outer walls of the Kalemegdan Fortress and the Republic Square all within walking distance from each other.
