About Spain
Spain is known foremost for its popuplar beach destinations like Costa Brava, Tenerife, Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Costa del Sol, etc. with its famous dance clubs and beach parties.
However Spain is also a country rich in art and culture with vibrant cities and colourful festivals: Pamplona with its unique bull runs, Toledo, Salamanca, Seville and Granada with a wealth of medieval sites and early Christian and Moorish buildings and monuments, Madrid with its world-famous Prado museum with a large collection of Spanish masters like Goya, and Barcelona with its atmosphere of medieval romance in its Gothic quarter and the fantastic Art Nouveau architecture of Gaudi with his still incomplete church of the Sagrada Familia.
Spain also has extremely diverse landscapes, with five mountain ranges crossing the country, desert-like plains, green and fertile lands, and of course the long coastal lines along Mediterranean Sea from Pyrenees to Gibraltar and in the west along the Atlantic Ocean and Cantabrian Sea.
