It has nine islands, the largest one being the Bubiyan, which is converted into a military base. The capital of Kuwait is Kuwait City, that has risen from the ashes of war and today offers numerous luxury hotels, wide boulevards and well-tended parks and gardens. With a blend of old world and bedouin traditions like the famous camel races, and modern culture, Kuwait offers an interesting mix of both old and new.
