Kingston

About Kingston

Kingston is not really a city but a rural community on the Kingston Peninsula, located between two great rivers of New Brunswick, the St. John River named by Samuel d’Champlain and Kennebecasis River named by the Malicet.  Kingston Historic District is of significant historical and scenic interest and includes 1810 Carter House (tea room & gift shop), 1910 MacDonald Consolidated school (the first such rural school in New Brunswick, and includes the museum), 1788 Rectory & 1788 Union House (has been the continuous home of Anglican ministers) 1788 Union House (starting as an inn and today a store & gas station) and the 1789 Trinity Church (the oldest Anglican church in New Brunswick designated by Parks Canada as a significant heritage site) and the Loyalist Burial Ground. All this and scenic, rural vistas!
