Nuuk
About Nuuk
Nuuk (Godthab) is the capital of Greenland, besides that it is also its largest town. This is the Arctic, a world of breathtaking beauty with roughly 85% of the total area made up of ice, so when you go to Nuuk don’t expect sun and beaches. Even though it’s very cold it still has beautiful nature with icebergs in all shapes and sizes, dramatic glaciers and with the endless ice cap a challenge for hikers. Many people get around by boat and your can (among other things) go whale watching. Ice glaciers, caps and floes are a common sight.
