About Idaho

Idaho’s landscape is one of the most mountainous in the West with awesome snow capped peaks, alpine lakes, canyons, free-flowing rivers, cascading waterfalls, high country deserts, rolling hills, hot springs and sand dunes. Idaho offers tremendous fishing waters, rafting, walking along historic trails in pristine backcountry, climbing granite rock formations and excellent skiing and snowmobiling. It also is home to the largest elk herds that draw hunters from all over the world. Idaho has more than 3000 km of byways past rock formations, along tumbling rivers and through lava flows, making it a great state for scenic drives.
