About Indiana

Indiana is one of the Great Lakes states in the Midwest of the United States, bounded on the north by Lake Michigan and in the south by the Ohio River. The Northwest corner of Indiana in fact is part of the greater metropolitan area of Chicago (state of Michigan), with the city of Gary on Lake Michigan, effectively as a suburb of Chicago. The remainder of Northern Indiana is mostly farmland. Southern Indiana has a mixture of farmland and forest with more hills than the northern portion.
