About Adelaide
Adelaide is the state capital of South Australia, situated on the River Torrens between the Southern Ocean and the foothills of the Adelaide Hills. This attractive coastal city is located in the wine regions of McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Clare Valley, giving it its status as the wine capital of Australia. The city, founded in 1836, is a planned city architected as a grid with wide boulevards and large public squares, and the ring of Adelaide Parklands surrounding it. Adelaide is also an excellent start to enjoy the richess of Australia like taking a cruise to Baird Bay and swim with the dolphins, or walk through the mangrove forest following St Kilda Mangrove Trail, walk the Adelaide Wildlife Trail, see Cleland Wildlife Park with its koala’s and Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary, or experience Australia's vast outback.
