About Nauru
Nauru is the world's smallest independent republic, a small phosphate rock island in the South Pacific Ocean. The island lies on the south of the Equator and consists of a raised atoll, with a surrounding reef exposed at low tide with roof storage tanks collecting rainwater fresh water. It has a fertile coastal strip with coconut palms and is only accessible by private boat or via Air Nauru.
