About Auckland

Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand and lies on the Hauraki Gulf of the Pacific Ocean. Believe it or not this amazing city has three harbors, two mountain ranges, 48 volcanic cones and more than 50 islands! The central part of the city lies on a narrow isthmus between the Manukau Harbour on the Tasman Sea and the Waitemata Harbour on the Pacific Ocean. Auckland is sometimes called the "City of Sails" with more yachts per capita than any other city in the world.
