About Guyana

Guyana's wunderfull interior with its thick hilly tropical rainforest, its many rivers, spectacular waterfalls like the world's highest single-drop waterfall, Kaieteur Falls, its distinctive plants and trees, make it  a true destination for eco-tourism.

Georgetown, the capital of Guyana, has a unique character with canals built by the Dutch, 19th-century wooden houses supported on stilts and charming green boulevards laid out along the lines of the old Dutch canals. Of the more impressive wooden buildings dating from the colonial past, St George’s Cathedral with its 44 meters is generally regarded as the tallest wooden building in the world.
